1969 Chevelle Protect-O-Plate Warranty Card

Note: GM offers 2 explanations on decoding the VIN.
Using the common 13637 as an example:
1. When describing the VIN plate: 1 ~ Chevrolet Division, 36 ~ Malibu
V8, 37 ~ 2-door sport coupe
...and...
2. When describing the POP: 13 ~ Chevelle, even number (2,4,6,8) is
a V8 - odd number (1,3,5) is a L6, 37 ~ 2-door sport coupe. The engine
designations of 2, 4, 6, or 8 for a V8 engine, and1, 3 or 5 for a L6
engine was determined by the series.
A V8 Nomad would be 2, Greenbrier/300 Deluxe would be 4,
Concours/Malibu would be 6, and Concours Estate would be 8.
A L6 Nomad would be 1, Greenbrier/300 Deluxe would be 3, and Concours/Malibu
would be 5.

Apparently Fremont had their own way of coding options on the Protect-O-Plate. If this early vehicle was coded the same way a 1968 model year was then the number "2" in position "G" would represent RPO J50 Power Brakes and "2" in the "I" position would represent RPO U79 radio.
However, the 1969 POP format changed. Instead of option letters "I"
through "O" as in 1968, the positions became "G" through "M" and there
were no options coded with the number "2", only "1" and "3".
