| Interesting tidbits: A Powerglide or 4-speed manual Malibu SS would have bucket seats and console as standard equipment, a 3-speed manual would not have a console. Powerglide equipped Malibu SS models could have the console deleted and both the Powerglide and 3-speed manual cars could request a column shift as well as request a bench seat. Prior to January of 1965, Malibu & Malibu SS seats had ribbed inserts while those after January were smooth inserts. No specific date is known so there may be overlap as old material stock was being used up. |
